A host of....

...Golden daffodils - don't you just love them?

I wandered lonely as a cloud
That floats on high o'er vales and hills,
When all at once I saw a crowd,
A host of golden daffodils;
Beside the lake, beneath the trees,
Fluttering and dancing in the breeze.

Continuous as the stars that shine
And twinkle on the milky way,
They stretched in never-ending line
Along the margin of a bay;
Ten thousand saw I at a glance,
Tossing their heads in sprightly dance.

William Wordsworth, 1770-1850

My daughter E gave these to me when I returned from hospital on Monday and they really did brighten my day. I just want to say a huge thankyou to all my dear blogging friends for all your kind thoughts and wishes for my recent eye surgery. All was well - I had my tear ducts syringed - and have a couple of black eyes to prove it!

Have a great weekend and be back soon
