I try to buy products of Australian owned and made goods, but they are becoming less easy to find these days. Every so often I shop at the smaller locally owned stores, but they are a bit more expensive. I try to shop when there are discounts on some of the products I use.
Don't often buy magazines, tempting as they are. I ...Dear Patricia, thank you for visiting my blog. I just came over and found yours, and what a treat it is! Exciting you are about to finish a B.A. - I graduated in Art History and English lit in 2007, by far the oldest graduate in my group. Isn't mature age study the best thing - I loved it to bits! Also happily see you live in the area where my daughter (now in Ottawa) lived and taught for several years. We loved to visit, and have been to Southend, and across to Kent, up to London on the train etc. All very familiar. Well, so many things in common and I had better shut up. All the best to you and I am glad I found your blog. Happy St Patrick's day from one Patricia to another.Patriciahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11685403215601517267noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-453762703737578171.post-90910662439157317652013-03-16T13:12:28.021+00:002013-03-16T13:12:28.021+00:00I don't mind food shopping. As I don't work, I can go in the daytime when it's quieter, and I write my list in shop order so I'm not wandering around - except when they decide to change things round of course! Like someone else said, I do tend to eat a lot when I get home though which isn't so good on the waistline (but it saves having to pack so much away!).

I do however hate shopping for anything else. I can spend weeks looking for a specific item, until I get so fed up I decide to do without it or rush into something at the last minute.Little Blue Mousehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13616392505984609128noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-453762703737578171.post-38257306388514477892013-03-15T21:43:11.228+00:002013-03-15T21:43:11.228+00:00My husband and I go shopping together to do the fo...My husband and I go shopping together to do the food shop. We usually lose one another as we wander around the supermarket aisles and then it takes twice as long. We tend to buy the same items week after week and don't impulse buy, but a quick browse in the charity shop next to the supermarket while my husband is putting the bags in the car makes a routine shopping task more bearable.Linda Phttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10634839688042592781noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-453762703737578171.post-49398080249299226302013-03-15T14:33:50.109+00:002013-03-15T14:33:50.109+00:00I totally agree with you about the shopping- and y...I totally agree with you about the shopping- and yes magazines make it all the better- That's one thing I really miss out here in Boneo - that I can't get hold of my favourite magazines, so when I do get one, it makes it so much more special:)Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03406613408205000201noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-453762703737578171.post-90965823425937326602013-03-15T00:12:22.662+00:002013-03-15T00:12:22.662+00:00You're absolutely right. I don't mean for clothes or crafty stuff, I mean if I go to the market, or farmers market, or a special trip to one of those (probably more expensive) speciality shops. It is always food I buy here, but not mixed up with the loo rolls, washing powder, and so on. Even a trip to a whole foods supermarket is a joy, and I really don't mind unpacking and putting away when I've done this kind of shop.
But the normal supermarket slog I hate, and I sit in the car for a moment when I get home and have a groan at the thought of unpacking and sorting. Isn't it daft?

You are a wicked woman succumbing to two magazines for the freebies!!!!
