Saving on power

Hello all and hope you’ve enjoyed a good weekend.

In the light of rising fuel costs I’ve been using my air fryer, slow cooker and microwave to cut down on expenses. Today I excelled myself by cooking my complete Sunday roast in the air fryer and microwave. I have to add that I have a spare air fryer that we use in our campervan which came in very useful..

It was an absolute doddle and saved on washing up as well as time. From start to finish was 35 minutes including the yorkies and sage and onion stuffing. Happy days

Bye for now and have a good week Px

  1. Wow, we do not have an air fryer, and I cannot imagine how you did that! Your dinner looks beautiful and delicious. Even Yorkies and stuffing: I better up my game a bit :) Cheers xx

  4. Thanks for visiting and commenting on my blog. I will pop by and read you now!
I haven't used a conventional oven for over 25 years as my new gas cooker installed way back then stopped working after a very short time and I just gave up on it. I have managed very well so far with a slow cooker, pressure cooker, combi-microwave and a countertop halogen cooker (similar to an air fryer). Much quicker, easier and cheaper!

  6. Hi Patricia! Thank you for your visit. My daughter as an air fryer and swears by it but I've run out of counter space. Darn!

  7. Hello Patricia, How lovely to hear from you after so many years! I have been tempted to buy an air fryer was your meal just for two? Do you have to intervene during the cooking process?
